Update on July 4th Events and Celebrations

This year, we will honor our nation's birthday a little differently. Unfortunately, all of our public celebrations and parades have been canceled, due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

Find other creative ways to celebrate our country's independence. For example, celebrate in the kitchen with red, white, and blue goodies followed by televised firework displays.

North Carolina continues to operate in Phase II. Details are here. https://governor.nc.gov/news/north-carolina-pauses-safer-home-phase-2-adds-statewide-requirement-%EF%BB%BF-face-coverings

Please, follow the state's mandatory order to wear masks or face coverings in public buildings or when social distancing is not possible outdoors. Restaurants are open with 50% dine-in capacity or pick up orders. Local businesses continue to safely operate, following health department protocols. Call ahead to ask about additional, individual business policies.

Stay safe, Happy July 4th!
