What to expect?  A mix of nationally recognized brands and favorites with locally owned cafes, restaurants, and pubs.

Local creations include southern favorites, often with a twist, like pulled pork BBQ, handmade bean burgers, and sweet treats.  Call to request a copy of The 310 District brochure and map, the district is home to a variety of restaurants, music hall, micro-brewery, taproom, and more.

Visit the area's diverse boutique vineyards.  The varying styles, terroir, and personalities are reflected in each bottle. You'll find them in the Linville Falls and Lake James communities plus in downtown Marion, stop by Keeper's Cut Meadery.  It's one of a handful of North Carolina meaderies.

Marion's downtown tailgate market is a great place to shop for seasonal items, picnic goodies and is an ideal spot to pick up specialty items like homemade bread and baked treats.  During the growing season, they are open on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, check for seasonal hours. Cheese lovers don't miss the English Farmstead Cheese Shop and stop by the Switzerland General Store to pick up specialty foods and goodies.
